By focusing on a minimalist, wing-centric design that mimics rocket profiles, the firm is attempting to solve the cap table problem inherent in hardware: the crushing weight of operational expenditure.
In the traditional LP-GP-founder triangle, hardware has long been a difficult sell because the margins are often cannibalized by maintenance and battery degradation. If a drone requires the same energy density to move a sandwich as a small truck requires to move a pallet, the unit economics never close.
